I have no specific character, but the main ones were Sirius Black (Harry's godfather ), Dumbledore (we all remember that scene where Snape killed Dumbledore and we loathed Snape that moment) and of course Snape's death. Oh and Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks. There are so many more. Tell me which character's death affected you the most and why?

Probably Snape's because omg omg Also I have to say Cedric Diggory's because he wasnt even a part of it so it isn't fair for him. Like, the others died by doing good; he was just killed as an inconvenience, poor guy...

Yea you are right! OMG Cedric yes! He was the spare one. It is definitely not fair to him.

Every death affected me, really...but Sirius and Remus hurt the most. I've always been very attached to the Marauders, and I wasn't sure if I was heartbroken that they were all dead in the end, or if I was happy that Sirius and Remus could hopefully be with James again.

I most probably cried in every single death but Snape's and Dumbledore's scarred me for life! I remember holding the book when Snape died and not just silently crying but howling and not bothering to wipe any of the tears and snot, mom thought I lost it haha. I can't exactly say why Snape's affected me the most, for some reason I never gave up on him even after when he killed Dumbledore. Yes I was beyond pissed off and upset but for some reason I couldn't bring myself to hate Snape even then.

All of the deaths were sad, personally. But the one that devastated me the most was Hedwig's. It was like in the heat of the moment, she was there and then she was gone. And the story moved on. I was like, "Noo! She needed proper burial! I need closure! What is this?!"

i know why Joanne why she just went too far with the deaths Mhmm I think she was being too realistic. It could've been her message to us teenagers (and to all ages for that matter), that in life you'll find yourself in battles of all kinds and that whether you're ready or not, you'll still lose some loved ones either to death or life itself. That the pain's going to be unbearable, but life goes on. So I'm thinking maybe Hedwig never died at all? Because all I remember is that she fell off the flying motorbike when a curse was fired. Could it be that it didn't hit Hedwig but hit the cage instead? That it could be her way of telling us that sometimes you lose stuff but you don't always have to search for them and find them again, if they don't return to you. (I could just be seeing too much into this but to me seeing it all like this makes HP even more interesting!) My memory might also be playing tricks on me, although I don't think it was mentioned that Harry went looking for her and found her dead.

But I'm pretty sure it was described that Hedwig was hit by a 'green' lightning/spell...
